Anti-Substance Abuse Campaign Film

This Animated Commercial was creation as part of the Anti-Substance Abuse Campaign, organised by the Cyprus Press and Information Office (PIO).

The commercial was disseminated through Ad placements in Movie Theatres.

The campaign aimed to reach out to young people, hence we wanted to create an highly artistic and experimental animation that would be appealing to a young audience.

We also had to be very careful on how the message would be communicated through the commercial as we did not want to come across as didactic and out of touch. This alternative approach in the creation of the illustrations and of the sound design, symbolises the experience of drug abuse as well as the eventual entrapment of users. The commercial ends with the that there is help is always available and that anyone can reach out for a helping hand through a dedicated helpline.
