BERLIN
BERLIN is an animated explainer video created for the FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy. The aim of the animation is to communicate the research conducted as part of BERLIN, a European Union funded project which includes 7 partner organizations from 4 Mediterranean countries.
This animation aims to educate the viewer on how the project contributes in the transformation of public buildings into smart and resilient nano-grids.
The visual style of the video incorporates a contemporary illustration approach with simple motion graphics that create an effective yet cost efficient result. The narrative of the animation uses a friendly tone of voice and avoids complicated terminologies, so that the research communication effort would be more effective and engaging for the general public. While the overarching message communicated through the animation is that, we must all work together to achieve a change in our energy consumption behavior and achieve the needed transformation of our buildings.
